When HMRC contacts you to arrange a visit regarding the plastic packaging tax that came into force on 1st April 2022, it’s hard to feel like leaping for joy… However, our stringent recycling practices and diligent record-keeping seemed to impress! Whilst we still report on our plastic packaging products, they are not taxable, thanks to the majority of product lines being made from nearly 100% recycled material…
- You may have noticed we stopped offering coloured and clear packaging products. This is to reduce your costs and our environmental impact, as they cannot be made from recycled materials.
- Our plastic buckle experienced the most change, as we meticulously strength-tested to ensure the 30% recycled plastic content would not affect performance.
- The leftover plastic from our manufacturing processes is put straight back into the machine to be re-used again in your products, or in the creation of our own plastic trays to reduce cardboard packaging during deliveries.
